“Hello.” Lightfoot nodded in acknowledgement before pawing at the ground idly.

“This still feels strange… Er, anyways, what’s up?”

“Nothin’ much~” She replied, sitting down.

He sat down as well and stared at his paw, flexing his claws slowly before switching his gaze to the new arrival in front of him.

“My name’s Lightfoot. What’s yours?”

“Slashy~”

“Well, it’s nice to meet you, Slashy.”

He smiled and nodded his head briefly, letting his paw fall to the ground.

“If you don’t mind me asking… What exactly are you?”

“I’m a gelert or a Neopet~”

“Interesting… I’ve never met a Neopet before.”

He tilted his head to both sides briefly, as if examining her.

“Anyways, I’m a Pokemon. Well, temporarily, that is. To be more specific, I’m an Absol until Monday!”

“Cool~ Though, why aren’t you sensing danger?”

He shrugged, not really knowing why, but came up with an answer anyways.

“I’m always sensing danger at some level. It’s just that sometimes certain dangers require more immediate attention.”

“What about the safe about to fall on your head?”

Alright. *Grabs the ball and tosses it in the air and smacks it, sending it to her side of the court*

Slashy smacked the ball back.

*Key jumped and smacked it*

They continued to play. They were about even, Key wining by a few points.

Alright! Here goes nothing! *He jumps in the air and spins, then kicks it, sending it flying*

*He gets back on the ground, shocked* Woah!! I haven’t done that since I played Blitzball!!
